Adaptive Reuse and Community Impact in Uniontown, PA

Fairchance Construction partnered with Butler Manufacturing to transform a historic industrial building previously used by O.C. Cluss Lumber into the South Union Sports Complex, a 23,000 sq. ft. indoor recreation facility in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. This project highlights adaptive reuse, sustainable construction, and community revitalization. The South Union Sports Complex now provides local athletes and families with a durable, modern venue for indoor soccer, recreational events, and community gatherings.

The renovation preserved the structural integrity of the original building while adding a new expansion. By incorporating Butler Manufacturing structural systems, Fairchance Construction ensured the facility offers strength, durability, and longevity for decades of use. Butler’s building technology provided an efficient framework that supports the wide-open interiors needed for sports and recreation, while Fairchance’s construction expertise delivered precise execution and quality craftsmanship.
